Richard Carr is a Certified Business Advisor with the Ohio University SBDC serving clients in Licking and northern Fairfield counties, including Canal Winchester and Pickerington. He has more than 25 years of experience in small business development, process design, and operations management. When working with clients, Richard utilizes his expansive knowledge of contractor management including capabilities analysis, qualifications, selection, and finished product quality review. Richard holds bi-weekly advising hours at the Pickerington Chamber of Commerce.

Richard Carr received his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University. Prior to joining Ohio University’s Small Business Development Center, Richard served as Director of Operations for a local planning and development company. He also co-founded THiNK OUTSiDE, a subscription box service for children focused on instilling a love of the outdoors and appreciation of the natural world.

Richard lives in Reynoldsburg with his wife and daughter. He is an avid traveler, often embarking on adventures with his family, embracing the great outdoors and staying active whenever they can. Richard reserves his weekends for cheering on the Buckeyes – it’s a tradition! Off the clock, he transforms into a handyman, tackling projects around the house. He is genuinely intrigued by the diverse and exciting projects his clients are passionate about.
